Data collected
Folioshift collects the following data: email address, portfolio data entered by the user (tickers, quantities), simulation history, and billing data managed by Stripe.
CSV file import: the file you drop is read directly in your browser. It is never uploaded or stored as is; only the rows you confirm (security, quantity, cost basis) are sent and saved to your portfolio.
Use of data
This data is used solely to provide the service (portfolio simulation) and manage the subscription. It is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Internal usage measurement
When you are signed in, we record certain actions in our own database: opening the application, creating a portfolio, adding or removing a stock (with its ticker), running a simulation (with the tickers involved), submitting feedback, accessing the payment page, and the start and end of a subscription. No amount or number of shares is recorded. Purposes: measuring use of the service, improving it, and producing aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example, the most simulated stocks). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service. Retention period: 13 months; this data is deleted immediately if you delete your account. It is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection by writing to contact@folioshift.com.
Your rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings, or contact us at folioshift@gmail.com.
Hosting
Data is hosted by Lovable Cloud. Payment data is processed by Stripe and never passes through our servers.
